Texas Rose Horse Park - horse show and event facility. The facility hosts numerous top-rated Dressage Shows, Hunter/Jumper Shows, Horse Trial Events and Currently, the USEF only allows one A-rated horse show per 125 miles in any given week. Keep in mind, horse shows are run by for profit business owners and customers become less price sensitive when there is only one game in town. Imagine if the National Association of Realtors only recognized one real estate agent every 125 miles. Rated shows are mentally as well as physically tiring if you're the only one tracking your class times and scheduling changes,keeping tabs on your trainer, and looking after your horse (who deserves the best possible care during this weekend of hard work). A Shows: Nationally rated, bigger prize money, but also more fees and higher cost per class involved. Horses and riders are both turned out impeccably . Proper colors, tall boots, black helmets, horses braided, hooves polished, etc. The weather forecast for this weekend will again be in the single digits. Due to these factors, we have made the decision to cancel our USEF National Rated horse show scheduled for January 6-7. Stay safe, everyone. For both the Hunter and Jumper rider, the courses and fences alike are equal to an A rated show and make a good prep for the green horse/rider or to enable the experienced horse or rider to maintain that critical competitive edge.
